Recap: Tenn Tech vs. SE Missouri St
Cookeville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Tyler Stone scored a team-high 23 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks edged out the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, 83-74, in Ohio Valley Conference action at Eblen Center.
Paul McRoberts netted 16 points for SEMO (10-9, 2-4 OVC), while Jarekious Bradley and Jamaal Calvin each scored 12. Nino Johnson chipped in 10 points and eight rebounds. The Redhawks have won two of their last three.
Jordan Johnson led Tennessee Tech (10-10, 3-2) with 13 points, while Jeremiah Samarrippas contributed 12 and six assists. Ladon Carter netted 11 points, and both Dennis Ogbe and Josiah Moore scored 10. The loss ends a Tennessee Tech two-game win streak.
SEMO shot 41.9 percent in the first half, including 4-of-8 from 3-point range, taking a 34-29 lead into the break. Tennessee Tech hit 29 percent of its shots in the first frame.
The Redhawks improved to 57.7 percent from the floor in the second stanza, while Tennessee Tech hit 33.3 percent of its field goals. Each team hit 17 free throws in the half.
