Recap: Wyoming vs. Montana State
Laramie, WY (SportsNetwork.com) - Riley Grabau made all five of his 3-point attempts en route to 19 points as the Wyoming Cowboys made easy work of the Montana State Bobcats. 79-54, in a non-conference bout at Arena-Auditorium.
Josh Adam added 17 points on 7-of-11 from the field for Wyoming (4-2), while Jerron Granberry and Nathan Sobey scored 11 points apiece. Granberry also got his teammates involved with five assists, and Larry Nance, Jr. brought down 11 rebounds.
For Montana State (2-4), Terrell Brown, Michael Dison and Paul Egwuonwu each put up nine points.
Although Montana State outshot Wyoming from the field in the first half, 57.1 percent to 48 percent, it went into intermission trailing 37-32. The Pokes drained 6-of-10 from 3-point range in the opening stanza and went without a miss on seven free-throw attempts.
Wyoming ran away with the contest in the second half by shooting a blistering 81.3 percent from the floor, while the Bobcats regressed to only 31 percent.
The Pokes won the rebounding battle, 31-22, and outscored the Bobcats at the foul line, 19-6.Game Notes
