Recap: Georgia vs. Georgia Tech

Athens, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Trae Golden led the way for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets with 18 points in their 80-71 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs at Stegeman Coliseum.

The Yellow Jackets (3-0) had four players in double digits en-route to their third-straight victory. Daniel Miller and Kammeon Holsey each had double- doubles on the night. Miller had 14 points and 13 rebounds while Holsey had 10 points and 12 boards. Marcus Georges-Hunt chipped in 11 points.

The Bulldogs (1-1) only had two players with double digit points. Charles Mann led all scorers with a career-high 24 points and Kenny Gaines added 13.

Georgia Tech went into the break with a 43-38 lead over the Bulldogs. Although Georgia shot 46.7 percent from the field compared to Georgia Tech's 39.5, the Yellow Jackets forced eight turnovers and had a 24-16 edge on the boards, led by 10 from Holsey.

Both teams struggled to shoot in the second half. Georgia shot 30.0 percent from the field and went just 3-of-11 from beyond the arc. Georgia Tech managed to hold on by shooting a bit better, turning in a 37.9 percent effort in the final 20 minutes.

The Yellow Jackets had a 49-40 rebounding edge and also scored half of their points in the paint.
