Alyssa Deitsch is a co-anchor on Action News Now weekday mornings from 5-7 a.m.
Alyssa is a California native and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before joining Action News Now, she spent two years in Casper, Wyoming as a morning producer, anchor, and reporter for Today in Wyoming, which was broadcast throughout the entire Cowboy State. Her most memorable moments include covering the tragic murder-suicide at Casper College, speaking with Today Show's Hoda Kotb via satellite, exploring Wyoming's beautiful outdoors, and losing feeling in her fingers and toes while shooting stories in the states infamous wind and snow.
Alyssa attended Arizona State University's well-renowned Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication where she specialized in broadcast journalism with an emphasis on education. She received a Society of Professional Journalists Award for her joint effort in a story on drug tunnels in the border town of Nogales, Arizona.
Alyssa is happy to be back in California and is looking forward to spending some time exploring the many biking and hiking trails the North State has to offer.
