Yuba County supervisors have voted to join the State of Jefferson and begin the process of seceding from the state of California.
The appeal-democrat reported that supervisors Roger Abe, Andy Vasquez and John Nicoletti voted in support of the movement and Supervisor Hal Stockton voted in opposition.
Yuba County is now the fourth county to join the movement. Glenn, Siskiyou and Modoc also support the State of Jefferson movement.
The Glenn County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to join the State of Jefferson movement on January 21.
The Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 to secede from California on September 3, 2013 and Modoc County joined the secession movement 21 days later on September 24, 2013.
Tehama County has placed an advisory on the State of Jefferson measure on the June ballot.
