Yuba County Supervisors are moving to restrict how medical marijuana is grown in the county.

Supervisors directed county staff to put together a restrictive ordinance modeled after the one currently in place in Shasta County.

The current marijuana ordinance allows 18 outdoor plants on an acre or less. The board will consider a first reading of the new ordinance on February 24.

The final adoption would happen sometime in March.
