A Yuba County walnut processing plant was destroyed in a massive fire Saturday night.
The fire destroyed four buildings, totaling 200,000 square feet of the Shoei Foods plant in Olivehurst, a company that produces walnuts and prunes.
The fire broke out around 10:30 p.m. and firefighters from two dozen agencies worked through the night to control the fire.
Cal Fire said firefighters stopped the fire before it could spread to the remaining 80,000 square feet of the facility, which houses the office and cold storage facility.
Residents reported hearing a number of explosions during the early morning hours Sunday.
No injuries were reported, but a lot of people are expected to lose jobs.
