Yuba City police are warning women to be aware of their surroundings in the wake of two attempted attacks.

The attacks happened near Stabler Park, just days apart, and while in both cases the women got away with minor injuries, no suspects have been arrested.

According to KOVR, the attacker pinned the first woman against a car, but she managed to break free. A few days later a man, believed to be the same suspect, grabbed a woman as she was crossing the street.

"We certainly want to make sure anybody who lives in the area is aware of these incidents and the similarity in circumstances," Yuba City Police spokeswoman Shawna Pavey told Action News Now affiliate KOVR.

Because it was dark, police have a limited description. They know he's a Hispanic man between 5'6" and 5'8" with a medium build and a black hoodie.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Yuba City Police Department.
