An armed robber made away with an undisclosed amount of cash from the Rabobank in Yuba City yesterday afternoon.
The robbery was reported just before 2:45 p.m. Monday. The suspect brandished a semi-automatic handgun and passed a laminated note to the teller demanding money.
The suspect is described as a dark skinned white male or a light skinned Hispanic male in his 40’s with stocky build. He was wearing a black baseball hat and a white jacket.
This is the fourth area bank robbery reported in the last 10 days. On Saturday April 12 around noon at the U.S. Bank on Colusa Avenue in Yuba City a suspect used a black satchel as a makeshift arm sling, approached the clerk brandishing a silver semi-automatic handgun.
A robbery was also reported at the Bank of America in downtown Chico on Tuesday April 15. Police say a suspect slipped a note to a bank teller demanding money. The suspect claimed to be armed in his note, and was able to make off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Am attempted robbery was reported at the Rabobank in Paradise on Thursday April 17. Paradise Police said the suspect approached the teller with a note demanding money. The teller did not hand over any cash and the suspect left. No weapon was seen in this incident.
