A young Chico man pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter Thursday in a fatal crash on 20th Street last October. Prosecutors say Andrew Reenan, 21, was driving under the influence when he crashed his Toyota Camry near the Sierra Nevada Brewery October 1, 2015.

The crash killed Haley McMahon, 19, and injured Tyler Burns, also 19.
Both were Pleasant Valley High School graduates. McMahon and Burns were passengers in the Camry when Reenan crashed the vehicle into a tree, rolled it and the vehicle came to rest on its wheels at 20th and C streets.

Chico Police say speed was also a factor in the crash.

Reenan will be back in court April 8 for sentencing. He faces more than 10 years behind bars.
