Butte County authorities say they've identified a man suspected of burglarizing Cal Fire Station 25 Thursday morning, and say he is the same man who robbed the station back in May.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a burglary call at the station on Durham Pentz Road around 8:30 a.m. Thursday. They found that roughly $4,000 worth of equipment had been stolen.

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage, and deputies recognized the burglar as 44-year-old Freidrich "Fred" Muniaerts, of Yankee Hill.

Deputies and Cal Fire Prevention Officers searched Muniaerts' residence and found stolen equipment from Thursday's items burglary as well as items stolen from a previous Station 25 burglary in May.

Muniaerts has not been located, and deputies are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact (530) 538-7322.
