After capturing a West Region championship and earning a spot in the Little League Softball World Series, the Chico Majors All-Stars were greeted as heroes at a "welcome home" celebration at Round Table Pizza off Pillsbury Road in Chico.
"It feels so unreal and it feels like a dream, so incredible that's it's almost fake," said Taylor Culp.
"I don't even know, it's all just crazy," said Bailey Reid.
The Chico Majors All-Stars are headed to Little League Softball World Series in Portland, Oregon from August 7th-13th.
They're the first softball all-star team from Chico and all of Butte and Glenn County's to advance to this level.
"It is pretty magical because I never thought we'd get this far," said Macy Spearman.
These newly minted local softball celebrities are extremely grateful for the hometown support.
They even took time out to sign autographs.
"I guess it's all kind of weird because I saw my beginning signature and my end one, the first few were all nice and then my last one was all scribbly and stuff," said Spearman.
The girls have dominated throughout their all-star run, posting an undefeated 18-0 record, but the competition is going to get much stiffer against the world's best.
But that's not what they're thinking about.
"It's going to be so awesome getting to see all these different people and getting to hear them speak all these different languages," said Christina Crum.
They're a team that's making memories to last a lifetime, memories that could become even better if they can win the Little League Softball World Series.
"Why not Chico, if anyone can do it, why can't we," said Crum.
Chico will face the Phillipines in their first game in Portland on August 7th.
