North State musicians and the Tackle Box Bar and Grill in Chico have to reset their attempt at the world's longest concert after Monday's power outage.
According to organizers, the performers that participated prior to Monday's power outage will have to perform again because the time keeping clock turned off, and the video cameras documenting the concert died.
The Tackle Box is hoping to set the Guinness World Record for longest multi-artist concert, while showcasing local talent and bringing national attention to Chico.
The current record is 15 days and 12 hours, so if the organizers and performers make it through to May they will still hold the record.
Volunteers are needed though, because the Tackle Box needs a minimum of 10 people in the crowd at all times. They are working on putting together a call list of 30 to 40 volunteers that won't mind being phoned at 3 a.m.
Anyone interested in volunteering can call the Tackle Box at (530) 345-7499.
