OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a woman who was reported as a possible kidnapping victim in Oakland has made contact with police.
The Oakland Tribune reports the woman, whose identity has not been released, contacted police Tuesday and told them she was unharmed and was involved in a domestic dispute. She came forward after media reports surfaced about the possible Monday night kidnapping.
Oakland police had started an investigation after a witness reported that a suspect had grabbed a woman, shoved her into the trunk of a car and drove off.
The woman has been interviewed by investigators, but police haven't said whether any arrests have been made or released further details.
