A Chico man is behind bars Monday and one woman still recovering after a drunken-driving hit-and-run accident on Godman Avenue over the weekend.

The 19-year-old woman is still in the trauma unit at Enloe Medical Center, but has been upgraded to fair condition.

The California Highway Patrol says 31-year-old Thor Ostling ran into Elyssa Fontana-Gage as she rode a moped early Saturday morning.

She was taken to Enloe suffering from major injuries.

Investigators said Ostling fled the scene in his Ford Focus, but he and the car were found.

Police said Ostling is expected to be charged with hit-and-run and drunken driving.
