Woman Held Against Will

Police are continuing to investigate a possible armed robbery and kidnapping case where a Redding woman was allegedly held against her will. Redding police were called out to the area of Highway 299 and Iron Mountain Road around 12:45 Saturday afternoon to assist the Shasta County Sheriff's Department. The victim, 37-year-old Amber Wallace, told officers a suspect armed with a handgun held her inside a car against her will and took her to Keswick after the suspect took some of her belongings. Once in Keswick, police say the suspect let the woman go. She was not hurt. She gave police a description of the suspect and car. Officers were able to locate the car and arrested three people inside. Two of the three suspects were later released. One was booked at the Shasta County Jail for armed robbery, kidnapping and other charges.
