Woman escapes after being kidnapped; two suspects' whereabouts still unknown.

CHICO, CA - A woman was kidnapped by two unknown male suspects early Sunday morning, Jan. 31st while walking on Ivy Street, according to Chico Police.

They say the woman was looking at her cell phone when she heard a vehicle pull up behind her with its headlights turned off. Within seconds, she was approached from behind and grabbed by her torso and neck and dragged into the white sedan.

She noted a second male suspect in the driver's seat.

Inside the vehicle, when the first suspect lowered his arm from the victim's neck, investigators say she was able to scream for help. An unknown male came and pulled her from the vehicle.

The suspects then drove away.

The suspect who attacked the woman is described as a male in his 20's with a muscular build and over 6'0" tall. The driver could not be described.

The victim described the man who came to her aid as a tall male in his 20's with a brown beard.
