The Redding Police Department was quick to fix its front gate this morning after a woman rammed through it Wednesday night.

44-year-old Kim Rychetsky told police people were following her and threatening to kill her when she crashed into the police gate around 7:45 p.m. She told investigators she was trying to seek shelter from the "invisible people" who were chasing her.

Police conducted a field sobriety test on Rychetsky and determined she was under the influence of drugs. Rychetsky admitted to injecting methamphetamine earlier in the day.

She was booked into the Shasta County Jail, but was released after posting bail Thursday morning.
