SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - A 70-year-old woman is in custody on suspicion of stabbing her 75-year-old neighbor at a senior living facility in Sacramento, causing serious injury.
Police said the women have an ongoing argument, and a fight broke out late Saturday after Barbara Holland walked over to her neighbor's door at St. Francis Manor.
Investigators said they believe Holland pulled a knife and stabbed her neighbor before fleeing the scene.
Holland was later found inside her apartment. She was arrested and booked for investigation of attempted murder.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
