Wet weather is heading towards the north state. A system approaching the Pacific Northwest is projected to bring rain and snow showers to the region as early at Wednesday night. This system could bring hazardous travel conditions to the region with snow levels falling as low as 500 feet in Shasta County, and 2500 feet in the Sierra. This system will impact the region until Friday, with the next wet system right on it's heels. The weekend forecast holds higher snow levels, but much heavier precipitation. Up to 2 inches of rain will be possible in the valley during this time, and mountain areas could see up to five inches of rain, with up to two feet of snow possible along the highest peaks. Stay safe on the roads out there this week!.
