It is starting to look like winter at Lassen Volcanic National Park after recent storms dumped a handful of snow on the park.
According to park officials, icy winter-like conditions have closed some parts of the parks highway to vehicle traffic.
Visitors can still access the Manzanita Lake area at the north entrance and to the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center, located about one mile inside the southwest entrance to the park.
Popular wintertime activities include snowshoeing, skiing and sledding.
Officials say visitors should be prepared for a range of weather conditions when visiting the park. Always check the most recent weather forecast, dress in layers, and carry food and water.
