HERMOSA BEACH, Calif. (AP) - The person who purchased a SuperLotto Plus ticket in Hermosa Beach that ended up winning $27 million has yet to claim their prize.
The Los Angeles Daily News reports that no one came forward Monday to claim the prize from Saturday's drawing. In California, holders of winning tickets have six months to cash them in.
Lottery officials say the holder of Saturday's winning ticket can opt for a lump sum of $16.8 million before federal taxes or have the $27 million spread out over 30 years.
Mickey's Deli, where the ticket was purchased, can collect $135,000 regardless of when the lottery ticket is cashed in.
