It was a cool and windy day around the North State Tuesday. Temperatures will warm a bit tomorrow... but it will still be windy!
A fairly dry but potent cold front swept through the North State Tuesday night. Moisture was limited to a few showers in the mountains, but the cold air and gusty winds were significant! High temperatures dropped around 15 degrees on Tuesday, and north winds gusted 25 to 40 mph in the Valley. As high pressure slowly rebuilds over the West Coast, our high temperatures will warm back up. With surface high pressure to our north creating a healthy pressure gradient through Thursday morning, those gusty winds will continue through then! The north winds will diminish through the day Thursday.
Upper level high pressure will send Valley high temperatures into the upper 80's by this weekend! We'll slowly cool back down next week.
It looks like a hot weekend for the cowboys at the Red Bluff Round-Up and all the fun at the California Nut Festival!
