Skies will be partly cloudy tonight. A few snow showers will be possible in the mountains.
Tuesday will be sunny but the winds will start to increase. Much of the North State will be under a WIND ADVISORY from Tuesday morning until Wednesday afternoon. Sustained winds will be 20-30 mph with gusts to 45 mph, and even higher in the mountains. Highs for the valley on Tuesday and Wednesday will likely only reach the upper 40s and lower 50s. Wind chills will be in the teens for the valley and sub-zero wind chills for the mountains.
On Thursday we'll be left with sunny skies and highs around 50, and the same can be expected though the end of the week. Lows will be hovering near or below freezing in the valley most of the week. The weekend will bring a slight warm up with lows above freezing back and highs near normal in the middle 50s.
