RENO, Nev. (AP) - Nick Wilson ran for 194 yards and three touchdowns and Anu Solomon passed for 264 yards and two more scores to lead No. 22 Arizona past Nevada 44-20.
The sophomore duo started fast as the Wildcats (2-0) opened a 14-0 lead less than 6 minutes into Saturday's game in Reno. They went ahead 21-10 when Wilson surpassed 100 yards rushing with his second score 3:56 before the half.
Solomon, who played at Las Vegas Bishop Gorman High, completed 24 of 33 attempts with no interceptions. He was replaced early in the fourth quarter by Jerrad Randall, who ran 57 yards for a touchdown to put the game out of reach, 41-13.
Don Jackson rushed for 91 yards for Nevada, which fell to 1-1.
