Willows woman arrested for allegedly beating and tying up young boy

A Willows woman is behind bars for allegedly beating and tying up a 4 year-old boy. Police arrested Alejandra Vasquez, 24, at 420 East Laurel Street yesterday afternoon. The incident reportedly happened on the 600 block of Edgewood Lane. Glenn County CPS told police that Vasquez, the child’s guardian, had beat the boy and bound him with rope. In addition to the 4 year-old victim, police also took 3 females, ages 9 and 8, and a 3 month old infant into protective custody. Vasquez is facing charges of felony child endangerment and assault with a deadly weapon. Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
