A Glenn County man with a no bail warrant for his arrest was taken into custody Tuesday at a local motel by the Willows Police Department.

Police located Roberto Ibara, 37, who was wanted for violating the probation of a drug conviction, at the Studio 6 Motel around 10 p.m.

As the officer tried to take the Ibarra into custody, he ran into his room at the motel and began flailing his arms at the officer yelling “I won’t go back”.

An officer’s attempt to taser Ibarra failed to connect, allowing him to kick out the rear window of the motel room and flee on foot.

Police caught up to Ibarra in the motel courtyard where Ibarra was tased and taken into custody.

Ibarra was booked for the felony “no bail” warrant out of Glenn County. Additional charges of resisting an officer by force or violence, vandalism, and possession of methamphetamine will be submitted to the district attorney’s office.
