The wife of a Chico man convicted of raping women near the Chico State campus will appear on the Dr. Phil Show Friday as she works on moving forward.

Last September, Lonnie Keith was sentenced to over 20 years in prison for his crimes. He and his wife Kari had been married for 15 years and have four kids together.

Lonnie Keith was arrested January 27, 2013 after allegedly running a stop sign at West 4th and Orange. Police searched his car and found a stun gun, syringes, leg restraints and hand cuffs.

In August of last year Keith waived his right to a jury trial and pleaded guilty to three counts of kidnapping and one count of rape. For the compromised plea the prosecution dropped special circumstances like the administration of drugs and bounding and tying.

On the Dr. Phil show Friday, Kari will talk about how Lonnie reacted when she confronted him, and red flags she may have missed.

According to the show, Kari has struggled since Lonnie's arrest, and has blamed herself for a lot of what happened. Dr. Phil has called on a crisis expert to help Kari and her kids move on.

The show airs Friday at 4 p.m. on KHSL-TV (CBS-12).
