Tuesday started as a hot one... but we'll see much cooler and wetter weather Wednesday, from the remnants of a former hurricane!
Highs in the Valley ranged from 100 to 108 early Tuesday afternoon, but cooled down quickly Tuesday evening thanks to clouds, showers and thunderstorms. The wet weather was sparked by moisture from former Hurricane Blanca, which will continue to move over us on Wednesday, triggering more showers and thunderstorms for both the Valley and mountains! This will naturally cool us down dramatically Wednesday... look for Valley highs only in the 80's. As the deep moisture arrives Wednesday, we should see mostly rain showers although a thunderstorm embedded in all of it is possible. But mostly rain showers on Wednesday.
The moisture from Blanca will be east of us by Thursday, and high pressure will be back... and so will the heat! With the help of a light north breeze, Valley highs should return to near 100 and stay there through Saturday.
High pressure will weaken after that, and we'll see our highs drop to near normal levels by early next week.
But before all that happens... A former hurricane is going to make it tropical around here tomorrow!
