Cloudy skies, and the potential for wet weather will arrive in the north state today. A mix of rain and snow will return to the mountains, and light showers will be possible for the valley. Snow levels will be at or above 6000ft. The best potential for wet weather will be to the East of the valley in the Sierra, and Southern Cascades. A couple hundredths of an inch of rain will be possible throughout the valley. Most of the wet weather will subside by tonight.
Temperatures are starting out in the mid 40's to low 50's this morning in the valley and foothills, and in the low 30's to mid 40's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures will be in the high 50's to low 60's in the valley and foothills, and mountain areas will have temperatures climbing into the low to mid 50's. Skies will begin to clear on Wednesday, and will be mostly sunny by Thursday afternoon. Warmer temperatures will arrive for your Super Bowl weekend. The next chance for showers will arrive early next week. I hope everyone enjoys the bit of rain on the way, and has a great Tuesday!
