Stronger winds, cooler temperatures, and a decent chance for wet weather is ahead in your Wednesday forecast. Temperatures will only climb into the high 80's to low 90's in the valley, and 70's to 80's in the mountains.
The best chance for showers will be limited to the northern zones of the state. The Northern Mountains, northern end of the valley, and Northern Sierra could all see showers by this afternoon. There will also be a less significant chance for thunderstorms across the region today, but if we do see any lightning, it will be accompanied by heavy showers.
Widespread showers will be possible throughout the north state overnight. Skies will begin to clear on Friday, and hotter temperatures will return towards the latter part of your weekend.
I hope everyone enjoys this cooler weather while it lasts, and has a wonderful Wednesday!
