Wet weather finally returned to the North State, as an impressive September storm soaked us! Chico saw about 3/4" of rain while Redding & Red Bluff saw over 2"! Very impressive for September. After the main front swept through in the morning, a couple of strong thunderstorms developed in the afternoon in Glenn and Shasta counties. One even produced a funnel cloud near Ordbend! These storms will dissipate shortly after sunset, and we can expect dry weather in the Valley tomorrow. A few lingering showers are possible in the mountains on Friday, however.
High pressure will slowly return to California, which will dry us out and slowly warm us up next week... but nothing too hot.
It's looking like a beautiful Fall weekend ahead!
