Wet weather creating hazardous road conditions

Morning showers have made for slick roads in the North State and a number of crashes have already been reported.

Emergency responders are still on the scene of a four vehicle crash on southbound Highway 99, near Cohasset Road in Chico. Three people have been transported to Enloe Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries.

The California Department of Transportation is requiring chain on commercial vehicles on a 3 mile stretch Interstate 5 starting at Gibson Road south of Dunsmuir and required on every vehicle traveling Highway 44 in Shingletown, and Highway 89 between McCloud and Mt. Shasta.
