Wet and windy weather on this Wednesday! The steady rain will turn to a few scattered showers by Thursday and dry Friday. But the active weather pattern continues, and there's plenty of rain in our seven day forecast!
A potent storm slammed into California today, bringing Valley rain, mountain snow and gusty winds for everyone. This storm is moving east slowly, so look for the steady rain to turn to showers overnight, and just a stray shower or two tomorrow. We'll finally get a break in the rain on Friday (and might even see a little sun!)
That won't last long, however, as a weak storm will target us Saturday with more Valley rain and mountain snow. Dry weather on Sunday, then another relatively weak storm looks to move in on Monday. A strong storm (similar to today) should arrive next Wednesday... and long range models are keeping the pattern wet into the third week of January at least!
Almost 3" of rain (as of 7pm Wednesday) has fallen in Chico since Monday, with similar totals throughout the Valley. In the past 3 January's COMBINED, we've seen about 1.25" in Chico. We've more than doubled that in just the past 3 days! Keep it coming!
