Mostly cloudy skies around the North State Friday will continue into Saturday. Another wet and windy storm will blast us Sunday!
We saw a few peeks of sunshine today, and may see a little bit more tomorrow, but overall the clouds will hang around until Tuesday. Another windy storm will blast us Sunday, with Valley gusts near 50 mph! It's looking like 1/2" to 2/3" of rain will fall as well in the Valley, with much higher amounts in the mountains... just like the last storm. Snow levels will start near 5000' but drop to near 3500' by Sunday evening. If you're going to Lake Tahoe this weekend, the drive home Sunday will be snowy!
The storm will wind down to just a few scattered showers by Monday, and then we'll get high pressure back for a few days next week. A light north breeze Tuesday will clear the clouds out, and we should see a day of sunshine! Long range models are trying to bring a storm in late next week.
