Wet weather has arrived in the north state overnight, and scattered showers will be possible through your Wednesday forecast. Cloudy skies have helped to trap in some heat, and that has the region starting out with temperatures that are 5 to 10 degrees warmer than 24 hours ago. Valley locations are starting out in the mid to high 50's, while mountain areas have only dropped into the low to mid 40's. Snow levels will remain above 6000 feet. Winds will be up to 15mph out of the Southeast.
Dry, clearing, and warmer conditions will return to the region on Thursday. Temperatures will return to the 70's in the valley, and mostly sunny skies are expected. Clouds will begin to return on Friday, and showers will be possible this weekend. Any wet weather ahead for the weekend will be spilling over the top of a ridge off the coast of Southern California. The best potential for wet weather this weekend will be from Mount Shasta to the North, with a slight chance of showers sagging as far South as I-80. I hope everyone enjoys the light rain ahead for today, and has a wonderful Wednesday!
