Now that the rainy months are coming to an end more and more people seem to be worried about the possibility of running out of water again this summer.
As the record drought continues, so do the record number of phone calls for new water wells. Orland drilling company "Aqua Tech" usually slows down during the winter months, but one employee says they are actually busy.
"Right now the demand is high and the supply is low, there are not enough so there are not enough well drillers to go around." says Russell Gunn from Aqua Tech.
Gunn says they usually have one major well project a month. Right now they are backed up for half a year, he says many companies are backed up for a few years. Gunn expects the wait list to add up as we head into the hotter months.
