Clearing skies, and slightly cooler temperatures are ahead for your Monday. Smokey, and hazy conditions are an issue for the Northern Mountains, mid valley, and foothills this morning, but there will be improvement towards the afternoon. There will be a slight chance for thunderstorms in the Northern mountains, and an even less likely chance for the Sierra this evening, but most of the active conditions are now up to the North, and off to the East of our region.
Temperatures are starting out in the mid 60's to low 70's in the valley, and in the low to mid 50's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are expected to climb into the 91 to 98 degree range for the valley, and into the mid 80's to low 90's in the mountains. Winds will be out of the South to around 10mph, and humidity values should be close to, if not a little higher than yesterday.
There will be a nice cooling trend ahead for Tuesday, but temperatures will rebound into the mid 90's to triple digits in the valley on Thursday. Average to below average temperatures then take hold of the region for the end of the week, and the weekend. I hope everyone stays safe with the fires/smoke across the region today, and has a marvelous Monday!
