Wednesday, August 6th Morning Forecast

Aug 6, 2014 9:50 AM by Cort Klopping

Some scattered showers are continuing across the region this morning, but most of the wet weather has started to taper off. The best potential for wet weather will continue to be in the Northern Sierra, where we will also see an increased threat of thunderstorms this afternoon. There will also be an increased threat of showers, and thunderstorms in the Northern Mountains.

Valley locations should dry out before noon, but most areas will continue to have partly to mostly cloudy skies. Humidity values will also stay relatively high today, and that will help with the fire danger in the region. Winds will also help, and are only projected to be up to 10mph out of the South.

Hotter temperatures, and clearing skies return to the north state tomorrow, and will continue through your weekend forecast. I hope everyone enjoyed the brief reprieve from the heat, and has a wonderful Wednesday!
