"Every woman will know you dream of your wedding and this was going to be my wedding, this was going to be my fantasy wedding, with my fantasy man." DeAnna Hardiman's fantasy wedding turned into a nightmare after her dress was stolen from her apartment in Paradise. Her daughter, who is the Maid of Honor, also had her dress taken. "It was heartbreaking, I cried all the way up there, I cried when I got there and I cried when I called the police and probably a couple days afterward."
Hardiman bought the dress from David's Bridal in Chico. "I tried it on and I couldn't take it off, I knew it had to be mine."
The crime was committed on August third or fourth. Hardiman was in the process of moving to Oroville with her fiance, and planning her big day which would have been the end of this month. "Our colors were going to be champagne, latte and ivory," explained Hardiman.
Several businesses in Paradise are trying to spread the word about the theft and are posting these flyers in their stores. Hardiman hopes to reschedule her wedding for October next year, where she can say "I do" to the man of her dreams, wearing the dress of her dreams. "Even with all the flyers that we've been putting up over Paradise, my fiance has still not seen the dress so hopefully come October I will be able to walk down the aisle and he will see it for the first time then."
