When it comes to water conservation, Butte County officials are doing their part. The County reduced water usage at its facilities by 50 percent.
The County reduced water usage at its facilities by nearly 6 million gallons in June and July of 2015 compared to the same months in 2013.
The water reduction seen at County facilities surpassed water conservation requirements by over 2.3 million gallons.
As a whole, Butte County residents are doing their part as well. Chico residents used 42 percent less water than they did in June of 2013, while Oroville, Paradise and Del Oro water customers also met the state’s mandated conservation targets.
