Tuesday was a mix of sun and high clouds around the North State, and temperatures began to warm back up. Look for plenty of sun ahead, and even warmer temperatures!
High pressure is building back into the North State, and that's going to both warm us up, and clear our skies. A strong storm in the Pacific brought us high clouds today, but as the ridge strengthens, look for even those to get pushed northward. We'll see plenty of sun to finish off this week (and into the weekend), along with high temperatures warming into the 70's in the Valley!
There will be some patchy fog in a few mountain Valleys... along the Trinity River in Trinity County, and probably near Quincy and the Feather River, and near Lake Almanor in Plumas County. A little bit is possible in the Sacramento Valley but mainly near Marysville/Yuba City, and further south.
A little bit of a Jarbo Gap wind is possible near the Feather River Canyon early Wednesday morning, so places like Concow, Yankee Hill and near Pentz Road in Paradise may get a bit windy then.
And, this past weekend's rain did some good to our local lakes. Shasta Lake rose 17', Lake Oroville rose 16', and Trinity Lake rose 20'. All since Friday! So good news there.
