Warming Trend Continues For The North State

Slightly warmer temperatures, and mostly sunny skies are ahead for your Tuesday. Conditions will be mild across the north state for today, but there will be a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm for the Northern Mountains this afternoon. Temperatures have dipped into the mid 60's to low 70's in the valley overnight, and into the mid 40's to high 50's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures will climb into the mid 90's for the valley, and into the 80's for the mountains. Winds will be out of the South to around 10mph.

Temperatures will continue to climb through Thursday. Valley areas will have the peak of the heat in the high 90's to around 104 degrees on Thursday, before cooling down this weekend. Weekend high temperatures will fall into the high 80's to mid 90's in the lower elevations. There will be a chance for active conditions returning to the region this weekend as well. Mountain areas will be the most likely to see showers/thunderstorms, but the valley could get some precipitation as well. I hope everyone is ready for the heat to return towards the end of the week, and has a great Tuesday!
