Warming Trend Ahead For The North State

Apr 16, 2015 12:22 PM by Cort Klopping

Sunny skies, warmer temperatures, and lighter winds are ahead for your Thursday. Low temperatures only dropped into the mid 40's to low 60's overnight in the valley, and into the mid 20's to mid 30's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures will be much warmer than yesterdays, and are projected to climb into the low to mid 80's in the valley. Mountain areas will have high temperatures in the mid 60's to mid 70's this afternoon. Winds are only projected to be up to around 15mph out of the North.

Temperatures will continue to climb over the next several days. The peak of the warming will be this weekend, with valley areas getting up into the high 80's to low 90's. Sunny skies will continue across the region over the next several days.

A cooling trend, and the potential for active weather will return next week. The chance for showers, and thunderstorms will arrive on Tuesday, and that chance for wet weather will linger into Thursday. Temperatures drop back into the 70's for the valley on Tuesday, and then down into the 60's for Wednesday, and Thursday. I hope everyone enjoys the lighter breeze ahead for the north state, and has a great Thursday!
