Wet weather on this Wednesday! Showers will turn to sunshine on Thursday, and the heat will be back by this weekend, however.
A cool Pacific storm brought us summer rain today around the North State, which should continue through Wednesday evening. Valley rain totals ranged from a few hundredths to almost 1/2" in Redding! Chico, Oroville and the Ridge saw between 1/10" and 1/3" of rain, and both Mt. Shasta and Lassen Peak got a dusting of snow. Skies will clear late, and Thursday should be mostly sunny and warmer... but not hot in the wake of our storm.
High pressure will strengthen, and Valley highs will warm to near 90 by Friday, and stay there into next week.
Fall starts next Wednesday!
