Wednesday was another active day around the North State, with showers and thunderstorms in the mountains... and a few in the Valley! This activity will continue through Friday.
Showers and thunderstorms erupted in the mountains yet again this afternoon... and a few even formed in the north end of the Valley! Both Shasta and Tehama counties saw some wet weather this afternoon in the Valley. All of this activity will diminish overnight, but the mountain shower and thunderstorms will re-form both Thursday and Friday afternoons. We continue to see a weak trough of low pressure over California, which is helping spark that shower activity and is helping keep our temperatures nice. This pattern won't change until this weekend... that's when high pressure should strengthen, which should end the wet weather in the mountains and warm us up.
The ridge will weaken again next week, which will cool us down a bit and allow those mountain showers and thunderstorms to return then.
Overall, nice weather ahead for the next week... Relatively comfortable temperatures along with beneficial showers in the mountains!
