High pressure weakened a bit on Thursday, allowing our high temperatures to cool just a little. Not much change on Friday, but the ridge will strengthen a bit this weekend, warming us back up some. A breezy north wind (10 to 20 mph gusts) will develop Saturday night & last into Sunday, which will increase our fire danger then. This wind will diminish Sunday evening.
Monday looks still looks warm... But Tuesday does not. High pressure is set to collapse at that time, opening the storm door up for us. A storm from the North Pacific will swing into the North State, bringing much cooler weather for us and a chance of a few showers both Tuesday and Wednesday... although any shower wouldn't yield much wet weather. But the cooldown is real... by Wednesday, the Valley will struggle to reach 70 for a high temperature!
This could very well be the last weekend we see near 90 degree temperatures until next spring.
