High pressure continues to keep us hot... Look for Valley highs close to 90 into Monday with plenty of sunshine. Surface pressure gradients will tighten on Sunday, and we'll see a north wind develop as a result. Look for 25 to 30 mph gusts, and combined with the hot weather, that will create high fire danger. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Sunday... be careful that day. The north winds will diminish Sunday night.
High pressure collapses on Tuesday, which will finally open the storm door. Look for much cooler weather that day, with thickening clouds that could yield a stray shower or two. Rain looks to arrive Tuesday night (although it won't be too much), and that will turn to off and on showers on Wednesday. We'll dry up by Thursday, but won't warm back up too much. Longer range models are suggesting another shot of light rain on Saturday.
So enjoy the warm weather this weekend... We may not see 90 again until next Spring!
