Sunny, warmer, and windy weather ahead for the north state in your Thursday forecast. Valley areas have already had gusts up to around 30mph out of the North this morning, with sustained winds from 10 to 20mph. Winds will continue to be strong throughout the morning, but will start to decrease this afternoon. Valley temperatures have only dipped into the high 50's to mid 60's overnight, while mountain areas have dropped into the mid to high 30's. Afternoon high temperatures will climb into the high 80's to low 90's in the valley, and into the mid 70's to mid 80's in the mountains.
Temperatures will continue to be very warm through the weekend, and dry conditions are expected to persist. The above average temperatures, and dry conditions will result in higher fire danger over the next few days. Much cooler temperatures will arrive on Wednesday! I hope everyone stays safe in the very warm, and windy conditions ahead for today, and has a great Thursday!
