Mostly sunny skies, warmer temperatures, and gusty North winds are ahead for your Monday. Temperatures are starting out in the high 50's to low 60's in the valley, and in the mid 30's to mid 40's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the mid 80's for the valley, and mountain areas are expected to climb into the low 60's to low 80's. Winds will be out of the North up to 20mph, with gusts to 30mph this afternoon. The strong winds could result in trees falling into roadways or power lines. Please be cautious out on the roads today.
Hot temperatures will return to the region tomorrow as valley areas are projected to climb into the 90's, and mountain areas will be in the mid 70's to mid 80's. Those conditions will also be ahead for Wednesday. A steep dip in temperatures will be ahead for your Thursday, and even cooler conditions will be ahead for Friday. Valley areas will top out in the high 70's to low 80's on Thursday, and will then only top out in the high 60's to low 70's on Friday. There will be a decent potential for active weather to track through the region late this week, and that chance will linger into the weekend. I hope everyone is ready for the heat to return, and has a marvelous Monday!
